Johns Food Road Show
In March 2005 I made the decision to try to share my opinions about British food and the culture that defined them as British. We held the road shows on the last Sunday of each month from April 2005 up to the Christmas show on the 25th December at Inishmore and Helmsdale. The road show was a culinary and cultural exploration of the Britain. In which we introduced four different recipes and the history of cultural aspect that defined them as being from a particular part of a Britain.
MITSUKOSHI British Festival
In 2004 I was introduced that Mitsukoshi department had a British festival in which they introduced Japan to some of the different food of Britain. In 2005 I was invited to give two 30 minute talks on what is British food. Both of the talks were about the history and origins of modern food and everybody seemed to have a good time and I am looking forward to the next festival.
